The D-line didn't block for him last year. Anybody else not to happy about this trade? I was really hoping to address O-line this offseason and why are they still bringing Bradford in for a look? Is this an option they're considering in the draft?

And on the injury thing, in the last three years (since JC has been a full-time starter) McNabb missed 4 games, JC missed 3. Since McNabb's injuries, he's been a lot more selective running the ball.
Actually most of the time it was JC's bad play, the o-line's horrible play, and Zorn's horrible play calling.

Well, Mr. Zorn's version of the WCO always had every play be a "drop back and throw" play. Roll outs and bootlegs were nonexistent. WILL NOT BE THE CASE WITH SHANNY.

and.....yet his numbers were not that much greater then Campbells. Hmmm. He had a much better OL, much better WR's, much better HC, much better scheme, and yet people want to argue that McNabb is far better a QB now over JC. JC's numbers were not that much different with a much worse OL, mediocre WR's, bad HC, and bad scheme.

I'll agree with you if you look at all of McNabbs stats from his start time in the NFL to now he is much better then JC. But please be realistic and look at last yrs stats or atleast the last couple of yrs and judge both together. McNabb has been falling off from his day of grandure. He is not the god people want to make him out to be.

Fat Andy's one-dimensional playcalling is suspect at best, although better than Zorn's.

McNabb plus our 1st round pick moves us up to #1 overall. The Rams were interested in McNabb but didn't get anything done. I think we have the availability though.
Apparently there's a no-trade clause with this deal. McNabb is officially Shanahan's man.

I do, they don't have a decent vet. On top of that they don't have a decent QB period and everyone wants them to take a chance on a Rookie QB? You do realize this may be Spano's last yr and he may not want to risk it with an unknown commodity? McNabb is better then any Rookie for two reasons...

1- you know what your getting. An NFL proven QB.
2- He's been to the SB before.

but I'll give you a nugget. Some Rams fans I hear are not infatuated with JC. There way of thinking is if we don't want him why would they? However the Rams were in talks with the Eagles in regards to McNabb they just could get a deal done.

Anybody watching JLaC right now on NFLN? He looks like he got into a bottle of Banana Boat tanning lotion or something.

He just got even more yards from down the field plays, which won't translate for all of the obvious reasons.
those obvious reasons = our receivers won't get open down the field?

maybe with a less vanilla offense they will

I mean when DT says something like Shanahan was shocked that we were running shit that we were.. gives me a lil hope

at least that gives you a reason to say that it wasn't McNabb it was Shanahan if Donovan does well

Early in the season the OL wasn't terrible, once Samuels went down and Heyer moved over.....well we all know what happened from there. Zorn certainly left something to be desired in playcalling too.

But, when Campbell had chances he didn't capitalize and often made mistakes. You know the old first read's covered.....straight to check-down routine. Or the misread the D and throw into 2x or 3x coverage. Or don't bother to look off the safety, misread coverage and throw the ball up for a pick. Or make bad throws on the fade/go routes that would've been TDs.....etc,etc,etc.
