Re: Peyton Manning or RGIII your choice
This year's first, although thinking more about it I think that compensation may be a tad bit low. Although if the Browns get a QB through FA, then we become the next best trading partner.

In short, the second or third pick are only valuable trade chips if the Redskins make them so. Cleveland is in total command in the RG3 sweepstakes. They have both the best draft position and the most draft value to acquire or block another team from acquiring RG3. I think Cleveland wants Blackmon more than RG3 because he fits their offense. I don't expect St. Louis to pick Blackmon or RG3. I think they'll probably go with Kalil. And then I think Minnesota will try like hell to trade out of the third pick, and they'll probably be successful, especially if the Redskins like RG3. But lets say they go with Coples or Claiborne (or whoever). Then Cleveland gets to pick between RG3 and Blackmon. That's I think when the Redskins will strike (if not at Minnesota's pick). The Bucs probably aren't taking Justin Blackmon. If the Browns can pick up a pick to move from 4 to 6, history has already shown they will. And I think that makes a lot more sense for them than to take even a more lucrative offer from Miami, but drop to beyond where Blackmon will be on the board. Either way, I don't think Griffin goes higher than fourth. If Minnesota is desperate enough to let Washington or Miami or Seattle name their price, then yeah, that trade could happen.

If this was a situation like year 2 of the Kevin Kolb experiment then yeah they could easily go for someone like RGIII, but you can bank on any team signing Matt Flynn not using an early pick on a QB in 2012. Quote:

Re: Peyton Manning or RGIII your choice
Todd McShay thinks RG3 will either be a Redskin or a Cleveland Brown. Says he'd be surprised if he fell below the number 2 spot.

Either way the market will provide Flynn with a huge pay day and at least one year of job security.

Re: Peyton Manning or RGIII your choice
Probably yes and probably no, depending on how the FA situation shakes out. If we get RG3, he'll be a day 1 starter. But I don't know about anyone after him, unless the coaching staff knows they've found the next Andy Dalton.

Re: Peyton Manning or RGIII your choice
Exactly. RGIII and Luck are both day 1 guys. Guys like Tannehill could start midseason or possibly win the job in camp but it would be an uphill battle. And I have a hard time believing they'll fare much better then Ponder.

Re: Peyton Manning or RGIII your choice
Also I just want to add, does anyone think the Giants regret giving up two first and a third for Eli Manning? I mean for Gods sake the Chargers got 3 Pro Bowlers in that trade yet the Giants now have 2 Super Bowls.
