I wrote about this yesterday. I don't link to get anyone to read, as I'm sure I'll post all the major points in this thread in possibly fewer than 2,500 words.

In short, the second or third pick are only valuable trade chips if the Redskins make them so. Cleveland is in total command in the RG3 sweepstakes. They have both the best draft position and the most draft value to acquire or block another team from acquiring RG3.

I think Cleveland wants Blackmon more than RG3 because he fits their offense. I don't expect St. Louis to pick Blackmon or RG3. I think they'll probably go with Kalil. And then I think Minnesota will try like hell to trade out of the third pick, and they'll probably be successful, especially if the Redskins like RG3. But lets say they go with Coples or Claiborne (or whoever). Then Cleveland gets to pick between RG3 and Blackmon.

That's I think when the Redskins will strike (if not at Minnesota's pick). The Bucs probably aren't taking Justin Blackmon. If the Browns can pick up a pick to move from 4 to 6, history has already shown they will. And I think that makes a lot more sense for them than to take even a more lucrative offer from Miami, but drop to beyond where Blackmon will be on the board.

Either way, I don't think Griffin goes higher than fourth. If Minnesota is desperate enough to let Washington or Miami or Seattle name their price, then yeah, that trade could happen.
