Pass rush makes your pass defense incredibly better.
is this real life?

Kerrigan has been rather good without a consistent pass rushing force on the other side.

Or without a good NT.

Cofield needs more respect, he's been playing well.

Someone else sees it here

I'd agree with that. The guy that needs to step up on the d-line is Jenkins. We saw a bit of that yesterday for a few plays and it seemed to make everyone else's job much easier once he was getting a decent push.

I'm not going to argue against a ESPN writer like Graziano (since I'm just a yahoo posting my opinions on an internet forum), but I just feel that Cofield is not as good as some of the other typical 3-4 NTs and he'd be better suited as a DE in our defense. He's a good player by all means, but during those long runs by Ray Rice, I thought he was getting manhandled by Birk.

i'm with you on this one . . . i think coefiled is over rated and better suited to play the 3-4 defensive end position . . . how about a real NT, with coefield, bown and carriker rotating on the ends . .

Kerrigan has been taken out by average LT's throughout the season. I will take back my statement that he can't cut because he is an average player on the outside. Obviously like most people on this board I have been watching every game almost every play and almost every time they leave Kerrigan on an island with one tackle and he does the same bull rush move that he always does and never gets pressure. He got pressure on the Ravens once and that was when the let him get a free run at Flacco. Obviously this year we need to upgrade the team's pass rush because pass rush: good pass defense.
