At the very least he deserves a chance. For a franchise that has been playing the QB shuffle for the last 20 years, we shouldn't be discounting anyone.
Good post!!!

Someone needs to answer a question: What is the difference between Kevin Kolb and John Beck? Neither guy has proven anything in the NFL, but for some reason Kolb is the next Dan Marino, and Beck is the next Heath Shuler.. Give Beck a chance!! The more I read posts from knuckle headed Redskin fans, the more I wonder if Redskin fans are really knowledgeable fans...

Also, why do so many Redskin fans believe DM was wronged by MS and KS. The guy sucked! Why would any coach trade a guy within the division if they thought the guy could really play?

True, but Kolb was kept on his team instead of one of the Eagles all time great qbs. Beck was a 2nd rounder who got cut by the team that drafted him 2 years later, then got cut as the third string qb by the ravens, then was our 3rd string qb last year. And to add insult to injury, Beck will be 30, which gives less longevity possibility. Neither has proven anything, but how they have been treated by their respective teams is a pretty large indicator of how much they are valued in the nfl and a reasonably accurate predictor of how they will do in the future. Of course, neither has proven anything yet so there are no absolutes, but if you can't see why Redskins fans are concerned, then I think that's on you.

And you know from all of your NFL experience!! Give me a break dude! Kolb has played in 2 more games than Beck. You like Kolb because the NFL network, and other so called experts have jumped on the Kolb bandwagon. Aren't you tired of the big name free agents? Do you know better than MS? Maybe DS should have hired you to lead the Redskins with all of your experience. Why am i wasting my time????

Yo, Chill the eff out bro. All I said is that there is strong indicators for there to be reason for redskins fans to not be sold on beck. Even if you have a different view, if you don't understand why redskins fans are nervous or pessimistic about beck, then your just an idiot. Of course anything can happen, Beck could be great, but the indicators say probably not.
And for the record, I don't like kolb at all. I just understand why he is highly more desired than beck, which is what I tried to iterate in the last post.

but the indicators say probably not?? Your scouting indicators? You must of received your indicators from your kickball captain.

I'm like 90% sure your joking cause nobody is that dumb that they can't see that fans being worried about a journeyman 3rd stringer suddenly becoming a starter is a reasonable concern. If your not, I dub thee, sir Brody, the biggest moron on this site.

skinster: the only moron is someone who passes judgement about someone without proof or evidence. We know nothing about Beck. Yes, he could suck, but he at least deserves a chance to succeed before we claim him a failure. I know your probably really good on your kickball team, and you think you know talent, but hold off on passing judgment until you have some evidence.

Your team just traded an all pro QB from the same team you are singing praises of their treatment of their QB's as being an indicator of said QB's worth. One has to wonder why you would think so highly of that system to compare Kolb to Beck with Beck being the negative of the two.

I will bet here and now that Beck will out play Kolb this season. jm2c I will also bet that Kolb will be back in the barn at the Reed house for free within 3 years! The Cards were idiots for paying that much for Kolb and Reed must be dying laughing all the way to the bank this year! He pulled that on us with Feeley back in 03-04.

As for Orton I'm so happy Miami didn't do the stupid deal and pay an equal price for Orton. BTW the guy is 11 & 18 in his last 29 starts, so much for him being anyone's savior!
