Re: Chase has been released

The #3 QB position is a project player. When was the last time we had a #4 QB who had a 115 QB rating? And we just let him go. Incredible.'

In his place we have a fifth season QB who has consistently been a 75 QB rating player. Last year we had the 24th ranked offense.

Collins is 38. He's played less than a dozen games in as many years.

Colt went downhill this PS and had a 49 rating. 1TD/3 INT

We just hired Woodson - also a second year QB with a 38 rating!

Chase goes to a team that wants him; he'll be mentored under Brees and Brunell. He was picked up in less than a day. Good for him, bad for us unless you believe JC is the franchise QB for the next 5 or 6 years; he'll never be hurt.

Letting some rookies go won't make that much difference this year. Some will be crap anyway, on other teams. But tell me that Wynn, M. Williams, Colt or Collins will be here next year. Not!

We kept the teachers pets on the team.

The best teams in the NFL keep players based on talent - not because they are the fan favorites or coaches old buddies. That's why we'll be fighting to stay out of the bottom of the NFC Beast. hope I'm wrong!

Can someone tell me what the point of the practice squad is when any team can take the players you put there?

So you don't think anything of talented rookies like Jarmon, Orakpo, and Marko Mitchell? I think saying that the team kept fan favories and teacher's pets is shallow.

Good question. The NFL needs to expand rosters.

Thank goodness they didn't let Mason and Daniel go. Some people would need a vigil.

Good riddance Chase, so glad we didnt keep this guy with his pathetic arm. He must have been reading too much of the Warpath message boards and thought he was a real Qb. He isnt a pimple on Drew Brees' butt, and a better comparison is Danny Wuerffel.

How can you be so optimistic? Without Colt and Chase we are going 0-16 at best and maybe worse.

No, we always have to let the Cowboys have the worst single season record* in our division

*at least since it went to 16 games
