To be honest, at the rate Bill Cowher wins Championships, he'll never succeed here. It took him 15 years to win a Super Bowl in Pittsburgh. 15 years. Do you really believe that Snyder or this impatient fanbase, as it has become, would allow such failure? I certainly don't. Names mean nothing around here. Win now is our motto. If you don't, we'll replace you with someone *cough cough* who will. :yeahright

Re: Will Jason Campbell return?

Regardless of how JC does id like to see Zorn stick around just for the simple fact that im tired of havin a new HC every 3 yrs. If he does go we need to bring in a young prospect. We dodged a bullet already, you know we interviewed Josh McDaniels last yr? WHEW. lol. not sayin he wont be good in the long run but he hasnt started out very well

Re: Will Jason Campbell return?

I admit i wsnt crazy about the Zorn hire, but im givin the man a chance to prove himself. but i dont want a shanahan, cowher, holmgren as a HC, they would be a temp HC lookin for one last check before they leave the game for good. so if we do lose Zorn we need to do it right and get a young hopeful and let him bring in his own staff.

If you do that, then you can consider yourself one.

I like Colt, but he hasn't even proven to be a good QB against anyone EXCEPT 3rd & 4th stringers in Pre-season. Maybe this year, he'll improve like I hope JC does & becomes a great back-up for JC. But my problem is that in all my years as a Redskins fan, who is always the fans' favorite QB? The back-up. Always has been, seemingly always will be. I have no problem with Colt Brennan.

What I do have a problem with is the lack of patience & understanding in this fanbase & the apparent need to destroy everything we've worked for just to see if the next guy will work, because the guy in charge now isn't cutting it. It's ridiculous. I have said this numerous times & will say it numerous times, even tho I know only the people with rational thought will understand this. No team can win anything when they operate like we have. When you have a revolving door of coaches & QBs & there is no steady ground for anyone to stand on, nothing can get going. We change coaches, we change QBs...when was the last time we had the same starting QB 5 years in a row? When was the last time we had a coach that was here for more than 5 years THAT ACTUALLY WON SOMETHING? That's because we change things up so much.

You do realize that every time we have to start over again, that's another 2-5 years that we have to wait for a championship...at least. And at the rate our revolving door swings, we are NEVER going to win anything. Nor do we deserve to until we settle down & actually allow someone to develop into the starting position. The haters will never allow something like that because the haters want everything RIGHT NOW & it just doesn't work that way.

Name me the last SPORTS franchise that changed things up like we do & actually won something out of it. And how long ago was that, anyway?
Very well thought out, and very well said.

Re: Will Jason Campbell return?

its retarted how Danny Snyder just watched the Broncos organization turn into a zoo over the same type of QB controversy.

Then he created the same type of controversy for us.

Thanks Dan. Way to get Jason ready.

i hope Campbell stays. i could give a shit what the naysayers think at this point.

do i think hell return?? IDK.

Well that Sir is just unAmerican. What red blooded American would work hard, invest sweat equity, and exert patience in order to reap the fruits of their labors?

Don't worry, I heard Obama was putting a cap on the number of wins a team could get, any additional would be given to the last place team in the division (if the division is equal they would be spread to conference and then league)

HANK YOU NFL NETWORK!!!!
They broke down film on JC and in the games they showed it was 3rd and long situations.JC had protection each time and EACH TIME went to the check down route that was 5-7 yards short of the 1st down. One play showed 3 different wrs in one on one coverage and he wouldnt push the ball downfield. JC plays scared and thats why he went without throwin a int for half the season. HIS AVG THROW ON 3RD DOWN WAS LIKE 5.7 YARDS.and he had one of the worst comp %'s on 3rd down. PPL wanted to question Zorns playcalling but we had WR's deep and open and he took the easy way out. Thats why ppl are calling for a change, thats why ppl are calling for Collins or Brennan

Here is the link btw. I think that is what I said like six pages ago, but I'm also saying give him a second year in the offense. The first example was clearly a bad read; the second you had a saftey shading over the top and I think that was Devin Thomas so I wonder what role that played (Cutler probably would have made that throw); the third doesn't look like there were a whole lot of options but he could have taken a shot. Clearly he needs to push the ball more down the field. It would be nice if there was some way for fans to get coaches tape so we could look at some of these things ourselves.

NFL Videos: Can Campbell get it done?

You do realize you contradict yourself here, right? If he has the worst completion percentage on third downs, and yet he is going for the safe throw which he was completing for 5.7yds somewhere the stats breakdown. I don't think anyone argues that JC hasn't been timid at times when avoiding INTs, moreso that the timidity is a result of two main factors
- the effects of JG, and JZ drilling ball security first
- the lack of confidence that his receivers were running the routes as they were supposed to.

This year is absolutely his year to show confidence in routes and getting the ball into the tighter spots. I don't think he can't do this, but he does need to step up and show it.
Given all that, calling for Collins - a perennial backup, or Brennan, a 2nd year 3rd stringer, is just change for change sake, not because of any real tangible improvement.

Bottom line is JC is our best chance to win this year. Collins and Brennan are a step backwards. If JC is unable to step up this year, all things considered, We will probably (most likely) go another direction at qb.

Re: Will Jason Campbell return?

It is what it is but the stats dont lie. JC's numbers on 3rd down are horrid. 5.9 yards an att, and his comp % was like 58 which isnt bad as a % but as a league avg it was one of the worst.
