It's a charitable move, it lets the player collect an injury settlement. It falls in the category of McCloughan taking extra steps to help players out so that word gets around that he treats people right. Smart business.

I was thinking you couldnt release an injured player unless you reach an injury settlement or wait until he is cleared.

But i think the IR designation was fake just so Jeffcoat would qualify for a settlement and get paid for a few weeks vs just being cut and not getting any future money .....

im going through a picture posting phase, i apologize.

I'd rather see Jarrett at SS.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

IDK.

Is he big enough to thump a RB for 4 quarters?

Head and heart is there, just not sure he has the physical traits.

I predict the score will be 30-23 skins with 6:52 left in the 4th quarter.

I think the #1 question facing the team this offseason will be Gruden/McVay status. I think McVay is most certainly done. Will Jay be too?
Wow. If we lose Griffin, Almo and Jay and McVay that would really suck from a team building perspective.

Imo Jay and McVay are played a large role in Griffin and Alf being gone.

I like Jeron at SS because it means less change in the line-up. Kysheon maintains his role as nickel back and Jeron takes over at SS; instead of Ky playing SS and having someone else play nickel back.

I'm surprised to see Jeffcoat released considering our anemic pass rush.
I was thinking the other direction maybe get him out there in more pass rush situations.

But I do like calling up Houston Bates, especially since he could play ILB also.
Early in training camp there was talk of moving him inside and considering how bad Riley and Robinson (whom I'm convinced is hurt btw) are playing we should be looking at other options at ILB.

Oh come on - Griff had ample opportunity. He is as good as gone and that ship sailed months ago. How in the hell is Gruden responsible for the fact that Griff cannot read defenses?

The HC/playcaller always plays a role in the success or failure of their players.

So does the player. In Roberts case that is 100%. When and if he goes elsewhere - we will see that. I will always love him for 2012 but he is a bust. Sad but true.

Re: Code Red all HANDS on deck Skins vs Saints prediction thread

I just realized I am participating in the talent show at work (I work with individuals with autism) and I'm going to miss the entire game. Blah.

But I guess that's not bad. My guys will probably put on a better show than the Skins ever will this year.
