Seriously though, this is a good pick up. We need interior line help. In all honesty, I don't really see the harm here

I agree there is no harm in working him out but I just dont see why with all the other problems this team has they would bother wasting their time with this guy.

Or why it was even necessary to be made public.

It's not cutting into anything else their day doing to include him in a list of people they work out on what is commonly a day to work out unsigned players while the guys on the roster rest

The advantage he has over Rex is 25 vs. 30, basically

End of the day, I think this is probably a non-story. But like I linked earlier, Shanahan has been intrigued (for lack of a better word) in Russell since this past summer

If Dallas, Giants, or Philly brought him in for a look or signed him, would you and others that agree with you think this was a good pick up or positive move? HELL NAWWW! You all would be laughing your butts off and talking about how much of a bust that he REALLY IS!!

Of course we would blast other teams for bringing him in. You seem to have a hard time figuring out what this "fan" thing is all about.

Oh and jokes aren't your thing either apparently.

No I don't have a hard time figuring out what this "fan" thing is all about. I just don't spend alot of time on "Cloud 9", so would you please send me a postcard while you're there? Just because I'm looking at things from a REALISTIC standpoint doesn't mean I don't understand what it takes to be a fan. Oh yeah jokes may not be my thing, but neither is kool-aid slurping. What is it like?

The reality is that JR has more physical talent than the NFL has probably ever seen from a QB, and he was drafted by a dysfunctional organization with a shitty line and no leadership. Nearly every single "expert" in the industry thought he would turn into something special -- in a few years. That was 3 years ago.

I can't remember because it was so long ago but was Culpepper as highly touted as JR coming out of college? I ask because they seem to be the same type of QB except JR didn't work as hard.
