Re: The Vick Factor
He's definitely a PR nightmare. I think it's going to take a desperate team or a very strong one (Patriots) to take that on.
I don't think the Skins are even in the conversation for Vick. |

Re: The Vick Factor
He isn't a good QB, bad completion percentage and a lot of INTs.

Re: The Vick Factor
Yeah hoo. He did that, hung dogs, tortured dogs, electrocuted dogs, etc. This wasn't just the gambling aspect to him, he shouldn't be allowed back in the NFL. If a lawyer did this, they would be disbarred. If a police officer did this he wouldn't ever get another job in law enforcement. Mike Vick doesn't deserve another chance, in my opinion.

Re: The Vick Factor
I think PETA understand that he went to jail and served his time. He may in order to counteract any negative backlash become a spokesperson or a supporter with cash to PETA

Re: The Vick Factor
There are places where Vick would fit in next year as a backup QB. I think the exaustive list goes Indianapolis, New England, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, San Diego, Chicago, New Orleans, or the NY Giants. That's 25% of the league that could find a positive use for Mike Vick. All of those teams have one thing in common, established, franchise type QBs, or at least the perception that they have one.
If he goes anywhere else, said team is probably taking him for the wrong reasons.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. The only place that sick f**k belongs in Washington is toilet soap changer at Fed Ex field.

Re: The Vick Factor
SF should sign him. He's probably better than Hill and Smith.

Re: The Vick Factor
I'm not worried about whether Vick plays again or not. I really couldn't care less. I think he has a lot of work to do on just being a decent human being. I don't see him doing anything for the Redskins except being a media circus. We don't need him. It kinda boggles my mind that someone worth millions of dollars would spend their time fighting dogs??? I guess Forrest Gump was right, "Stupid is as stupid does." What a f**king idiot.

Re: The Vick Factor
But in all honesty, isn't the league better off without Vick, the player? Here's a guy who presided over a declining offense as Falcons QB for 5 years, culminating in an embarassing 2006 season, and because the Falcons gave him the BIGGEST CONTRACT IN LEAGUE HISTORY, it looked like we would be stuck with him.
Then, he did something on his own to lose that opportunity, and PEOPLE WANT HIM BACK. This is maddening. We got lucky when he got himself suspended, so when he inevitably comes back, I really hope he doesn't get treated like a superstar.
