The Vick Factor
Do you think the skins should take a chance on Vick he has been released officially.
I for one would do it. I would sign him at a low cost and sit him on the bench behind Jason. Great insurance policy if Campbell decides not to stay with us we have a probowl caliber player and he would bring so much to the offense. |
Re: The Vick Factor
no. but CP is a fan of MV, and CP knows DS, so DS may push to get MV. Don't know what JZ or VC think though. So
If CP >JC +VC then MV else NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Re: The Vick Factor
I would. I know some people will say no because of the dog fighting stuff but seriously the man went took his punishment now it's time to move on. I'm looking at him as a football player, so I say yes.

I am not worried about the dog-fighting - as you said he did his time now move on. But I don't want him here as a player. We have a QB, we have a WR/QB in ARE, and we have RBs so, what position does he fill here? He may go somewhere else and shine, and that would be great, but he would not do much to improve us, that i can see. |
Re: The Vick Factor
The dog fighting thing isn't the only issue here. Does no one remember him flipping off fans? How about the Ron Mexico incident? Or the failed drug test? This guy is a cancer and that doesn't take into account the dog fighting thing (which I detest with every fiber of my being).
So, in other words, F... NO! |
Re: The Vick Factor
He's far from a Pacman or a TO. As for whether he fits or not... this team would be the ideal situation for him. We sign him, he sits behind Jason, learns under Zorn a QB specialist. At the end of the year if JC leaves or get hurt we have Vick waiting to fill the spot. His speed at QB has to be accounted for. The combination of Moss, Portis, Cooley, ARE, Davis, Kelly, and Thomas would give nightmares to try and stop.

Re: The Vick Factor
As much as I hate to say it, I would like to see Vick in the B and G.

You may hate TO but he is not a criminal, Pacman and Vick are in that league all by themselves. Don't lump TO with them. |
Re: The Vick Factor
^ Sorry I miss read your post. I posted before I finished my first cup of coffee, posting rule number one broken. =)

Re: The Vick Factor
I would take a chance on Vick. Even though I'm a dog owner, I think he's paid his debt to society and he'll get a second chance to play in the NFL.... just not with us.

So, in other words, F... NO!
Flipping off fans that probably said some pretty harsh things, we all go to games so we know how "entitled" we as fans feel we are to say what we want because we bought a ticket. I can't excuse it but I can understand it. We don't think about the fact that this man probably was called every thing in the book and he's supposed to take that every week, so one day he flipped off a guy. It's not like in his press conference he said F you to the fans. Ron Mexico, oh you mean when he used a fake name to get medicine ? Cancel that one. Failed drug test ? For what weed ? Laughable. Cancer ? I think that is going just a bit too far. I swear fans use that word too quickly. |
Re: The Vick Factor
YESSSS don't worry you will get torched for writing this thread but I support it 100%. He is a phenomanal athlete and I would love to see him as a skin. It would be a steal because you could get him for so cheap

So, in other words, F... NO!
I never remember Vick failing any drug test. I do know a guy who lives down the street from him and his wife was saying that they have had a ton of traffic in their neighbor hood from all the media hanging out infront of his home. |

Agreed! Rule No.#1. Never pick him in FFB! But mheisig had this to say a while ago over in this thread: http://www.thewarpath.net/redskins-locker-room/21350-vick-sentenced-to-23-months-prison.html "23 months actually doesn't sound that bad. I have a feeling he'll be back at some point." I think the months in prison will affect MV's game, although Riggo did not seem affected after his time away from the game years ago. But playing RB is different than playing QB. |
