Welcome home buddy.
Not sure why you think Schefter is a little loser, but that's neither here nor there

You should read at least the most recent posts before you post, what you're telling us was noted several posts back

That said, apparently Hall has passed his physical with Oakland and I have a feeling the trade will happen sooner than later

Here's an update:

Hall close to finalizing deal with Raiders | ajc.com

By the way Dirtbag, I talked to someone earlier today who's pretty closely connected to the Falcons (very closely connected in fact) and he said that the Falcons are very interested in packaging their high second rounders to move back into the first round.

They want a QB but don't want to spend their #3 on it, but they're afraid that if they don't pick again before the Dolphins 2nd pick then it might hurt them.

They have 3 2nd round picks right? Even if they only want to drop 2 of them, that would be a nice deal for Vinny to pull off; 2 2nds for our 1st.

If we made a deal with ATL, that would give us the 37th, 48th & 51st picks correct? If so, this would be a good move to make. The value chart has this deal in our favor also.

WIth the depth in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, we would be CRAZY not to jump on this if this is true. The talent isnt much differen't in the first 3 rounds. S owe could potentially land 3-2nd round studs (1st rounders who fell).

To me, our 21st pick isnt even worth their 2-2nd rounders, so Im just hoping this works out...

If we play our cards right, we could end u with ALOT of studs if we land on a lot of our picks.

Unless I had a top 8 pick, I would trade my first away EVERYTIME, for 2-2nd rounders. or a deal like that.... This is the way to build your team.

He does seem to come off as a prick. Did anyone see him and Woodson talking right before the HOF presser? I thought Woodson was going to punch that little punk.

No doubt,WOW is right. I guess you never know maybe even the Raiders can have a good team soon, who knows?

They sure have a much improved roster. Certainly if this deal is sealed they will have a heck of a CB tandem.

Source: After trade to Raiders, Hall to get seven-year, $70 million deal

ESPN.com news services

Updated: March 18, 2008, 8:40 PM ET

Atlanta Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall says he will finalize a contract with Oakland by Thursday morning, allowing the trade sending him to the Raiders to be completed.
Clayton: Silver & Gold

Frustrated by his team's lack of success, Raiders owner Al Davis has spent a lot of money this offseason. And he's not done yet, writes John Clayton. Story

A source told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that the deal is for seven years and worth $70 million. The amount of guaranteed money and bonuses in the contract have not been finalized.
The source also told Mortensen the teams are discussing possibly more compensation than just a second-round pick for the Raiders to acquire Hall, a two-time All-Pro.
If the deal goes through as planned, the Falcons will have three second-round draft picks and four of the first 48 selections under first-year general manager Thomas Dimitroff.
Hall said he is scheduled to fly to Oakland on Wednesday to meet with Raiders officials, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
"There is just some tweaking of the language that needs to be done, some minor details," Hall told the newspaper. "No deal breakers."
Hall, a former first-rounder taken with the eighth pick in the 2004 draft, would be paired with Nnamdi Asomugha, giving Oakland one of the top cornerback tandems in the game.
The move would also provide insurance if Asomugha were to leave as a free agent following next season. The Raiders placed the exclusive franchise tag on Asomugha, guaranteeing him at least $9.465 million in 2008. They still would like to sign him to a long-term deal.
If the deal goes through, the Raiders would have only one draft pick in the first three rounds. Oakland picks fourth in the opening round and traded its third-round pick last year to New England for a pick used to draft offensive lineman Mario Henderson.
The Raiders have been very active during the free-agency season after winning just four games last season and a league-low 19 the previous five years. Oakland has signed defensive tackles Tommy Kelly and William Joseph, receivers Javon Walker and Drew Carter, safety Gibril Wilson, offensive linemen Kwame Harris and Cornell Green to deals that could be worth more than $160 million.
The Raiders also re-signed running back Justin Fargas to a $12 million, three-year contract that guarantees him $6 million.

Re: Falcons Agree to Trade Hall to Raiders for '08 2nd Round Pick

The "Raiders" still aren't going to be anything to worry about.. It didn't work for us, and it wont work for them... That tommy kelly signing(contract) is gonna turn around and EAT them later. He's NOT worth anything near that.

Is that better? shtt

Proof-read? this is a message board dude, this isn't english class.

I'll worry about proof reading when im getting paid, or graded for it.

If you dont understand what I'm saying, sorry.

Are you referring to signing a large quantity of free agents? At least all those guys are under the age of 30, unlike many of our overpriced free agent signings. You might try proofreading your posts so they make more sense.

Are you referring to our free agent signings of 2000?

I think the Raiders are also shipping a 6th round pick to Atlanta

More so the last 6-7 years give or take? Besides this year, which year (this year is still in question) didn't we overpay for someone over the hill?

No sarcasm intended. If anyone can compile a list of our free agent signing from like the past 10 years or so, it would be much appreciated and very interesting.
