We're not going to pass on a DL to get Landy unless someone in the front office is insane, and yes we should go after Knight. He's getting older, but he can cover (check his record) and still gets a lot of tackles. He would legitimately beat out our other safeties (other than ST, whom he would help stabilize) and end the idea that Springs might be needed at safety. In my opinion, Knight's still better at his position than Rogers and Smoot are at theirs. Teams will throw at our corners, not our safeties. Knight has a history of timely interceptions and will not make mistakes or be easily beaten. I think he had in the neighborhood of eighty tackles last year and has never been a liability on coverage. Why do you guys think he has been? He's being cut because of money and a very talented young guy behind him, not because he can't play.
