Yeah it was really sickening to hear him stick up for TO like he could do no wrong.

Re: Irvin no longer with ESPN

Local radio sports guy in SW Florida said word inside ESPN, they were afraid of what problems might be coming with Irvin. They chose to dump him now and avoid the train wreck.

Sad to say but it was probably only a matter of time before he got himself into trouble again.

First of all, I believe there are announcers that are much worse for Irvin. Thank god not everyone interviews like Joe "Tells ya nothing" Gibbs. You need guys like this to make interviews interesting. He brings a players perspective to the game, which I like.

Love him or hate him, there's no denying that Irvin was a good player. If you can't see that, you're blind.

If I remember correctly, Irvin said if anyone should be in the Hall of Fame before him it's Art Monk. It's just stupid to blame a player for being voted into the hall of fame. He doesn't cast a vote.

What a bunch of BS...."You need guys like this to make interviews interesting".....what a crock.....The NFL doesn't need Irvin for anything.......and i never said he wasn't a bad player
Then you are going to jump on Coach Gibbs "Joe tells ya nothing Gibbs" ...What do you want to hear? Ya think Coach Gibbs has a lot of other things to worry about than giving us some stupid quote to chew on.. ... I know we went 5-11, and I know Coach Gibbs is doing the best he can... You need to be slapped by Irvins Pimp Hand.......and yes you do probably wear silver and blue panties.......freakin cowboy loving choad

On the other hand, I think Aikman is pretty damn good.

You're kidding, right. Irvin is up there with Stuart Scott on the ANNOYING METER. He's a racist, can't put sentences together very well, an egomaniac, and he's just always wrong.

Speaking of Stuart Scott...he and Aikman have the same look in the eyes.

I don't think you need to keep accusing people of being Cowboys fans because they enjoy listening to Irvin, or at least don't think he's awful.

Actually, I thought he was pretty entertaining. I did not, however, consider him a good source of unbiased NFL information. Totally a TO, and Cowboy homer. I thought the banter between him and Dan Patrick amusing as well.

I like aikman in the booth..

the only thing worse than irvin... no wait... okay... baldinger is horrible as well...

let me rephrase: Irvin was bad, but he was nothing compared to the NFL network having deion sanders interviewing people... he's the biggest self promoter and arrogant ignorant piece of trash ive ever seen and I was ashamed that he ever wore a redskins uniform...

Wow. You're not that bright, are you? I'm pretty sure Daseal didn't come on this site and post over 5,000 times because he was a "freakin cowboy loving choad," but I guess I don't have the knack for spotting undercover cowboys fans that you do.

At the giants game the NFL network set up there booth right by my seats for the halftime show. I went down to right where they were and people were heckling the hell out of him and he looked really irritated...

It made my night (and JC stiff arm into antonio pierce was nice too).

Re: Irvin no longer with ESPN

Irvin reminds me of the Dave Chapelle crack-head character:

"He who is without sin cast the first rock, and I will smoketh it. That wasn't me Rhonda...etc."

I hope he gets things straightened out.
