your trying to say that a slot CB as good as he was this year who had one good year is better than a four year starting outside CB? You are delusional and in shock.

It says 71 mil guaranteed but does that mean fully? We won't know until March 14th. It will be less cap space than what we would have had to sign KC for however.

They only let him walk because they got lucky and hit the lotto with Mahommes

Wasn't last year in part to Chris Thompson running several of those short passes for long gains? Same with Alex Smith and Tyreke Hill.

Not only Im I saying that, Im also saying his pedigree and potential is probowler. He showed this year why he was considered a 1st round talent coming out of Va Tech. Guy is a physical baller.

Fuller is already a better player than Breeland. Also, Breeland isn't a good locker room dude, he has an attitude issue.

Initial fan reaction around here is usually me Hulk, me mad, me smash. Yawn.

When the dust settles we basically made a lateral move in terms of player production and at less money, money that can hopefully go towards a guy like Z. Brown.

There was never going to be a nice clean ending to the Cousins drama that we could all agree on. Yes the team F'd it up and could/should have signed him 2 years ago. But I also remember plenty of folks comparing him to the likes of Rex Grossman and saying he wasn't worthy of a long term deal. I'm guessing some of those same people are the ones all up in arms now. It wasn't that long ago some thought RGIII got a raw deal when Gruden made the switch.

I like the fact the QB drama is now settled, likely for the next 3 years at least. In the meantime we can draft and develop someone and we didn't choke out the cap in the process.

We did not get better with this trade.

Yep I'm just glad we got a guy that wants to be here and has a chip on his shoulder. He will produce just as good as Kirk did. The system helped KC and we all said that

Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith

We didn't get worse, which would have been the case with probably any other QB solution.

not insanely but still not equal.

All that being said I was pissed about this last night but have since come around. I think that Smith will be better in Jay's system than KC was and this gives us freedom in the draft (my hope is move back 6-8 spots pick up another 2nd and draft Lamar Jackson to groom) and plenty of money to resign Breeland. and or Zach Brown. Breeland is equal to fuller if not better and we are DEEP at CB.
Don't forget we will only get that 2019 3rd rounder if we don't sign FA that end up negating it in the off season. There is a chance we might not get it.

So what? We didn't get appreciably worse, either. Kirk was leaving. We needed a QB. Colt was/is not the answer. We had competition for Smith, so we had to pay more. End of story.

Reid was like, " Let me call those fucking dummies in Washington. I got over on those stupid asses w/ an old, fat washed up McNabb so I'll try them first. I know they'll be willing to give up a draft pick cause that's what they like to do. I bet this time I can even get one of their best starters too. Let me call Bruce directly."
