Is it me or does Matt Jones seem to be a bit more explosive than Alfred Morris??

Once Steve Smith went out our d has done better. Can we ask the other teams to leave their #1 receiver at home?

Matt Jones is a BEAST and Preston Smith is one in the making.

Did we watch the same first half? The first 43rd we scored was shit luck. Right place right time. Our secondary looked inept. We still can't tackle and gave up a 100 he return . Kirk threw an int on his 4th(?) play. Our rookies look good against other rookies. I agree moving forward that's a positive. But watching our first teams against their first teams......we looked like a 4-12 team. Our playcalling was odd, to say the least. I liked some things I saw...I would be remiss to say otherwise. But many more negatives than positives.

And who was ahead at 1/2 time? Both starting squads. No Breeland, Kerrigan, DeSean Jackson. Yeah, we suck. Let's revisit this conversation at mid point of the season.

I'm a Crowder fan...but let's not sit here and say he first td was a skillful planned play. It could have been and interception as much as it was a tipped td pass. It doesn't negate the fact that our special teams was total shit and our secondary was pure garbage. Watch the Smith td again. Watch their tight end bounce off people not getting tackled (but get brought back by a penalty) I'm not really excited for midway through the season, honestly, based on our first 2 quarters.

SF i always took you for a pretty sensible guy based on your comments. But please stay away from the pre-season kool aid. Lol. Especially when its being mixed by a bunch of guys that may or may not even make the team. Who the hell cares what our record is? Our starters have been absolutely abused by three other teams starters so far. We have looked completely unprepared coming out in every game. You want to point to the fact that we were leading at halftime? Lets not forget that we had a damn lucky td catch, and that it was a miracle they didnt atleast get three before the half. I hope to God we are a good team this year, but Im sorry im seeing a team that is once again drafting in the top five. No doubt.

He's faster. His cuts are more decisive and sharper. You aren't seeing things. Matt Jones is a better RB talent wise.

I do that pretty often as well. My brother wasn't alive for the super bowls, but I've sat and watched them with him and we both cheer like it's a current game. HAIL!!

Exactly. I'm not looking at score or record right now. Didn't we lead the league in a bunch of categories last pre season?
Our first teams didn't look good. Offense started to look mediocre. But we couldn't run the ball. Looked like really bad/vanilla play calling. Special teams looked horrible. And defense wasn't spectacular either. Their passing game was moving at will. And if Smith wasn't kicked out, it would have been torture. He was scorching is. 95 yards on 4 catches? Come one, now.

No pre season kool aid, I tend to see the positives. I bet you Jones, Crowder and Smith will see plenty of playing time and make a big impact. Our OL has 2 new starters getting used to playing with other. New corners/S, Culliver, Goldson, Jackson, no Breeland, Ihenacho is also like new since he was hurt last year. I said this team will make the playoffs. Laugh all you want. Oh yeah, our second stringers have looked better tha the opposition in 3 games, meaning we have some good young depth.
