Crazy / Supernatural experience - very chilling

I want to share a crazy / supernatural experience that happened to me this morning. I want to first say that I am a spiritual person but i do not generally follow the "absolute destiny" way of thinking and sometimes i have trouble believing that key life events are pre-destined, etc...

So to make a long story short, for the last month I have had dreams of this girl. Nothing crazy happens in the dream, it isn't sexual or anything. We are always somewhere in a public place like a mall, school, etc.. The last couple of days she has been talking to me in the dream, asking me why i don't believe in myself, what happened to me to make me not trust people, etc.... It's nuts because i have these thoughts in real life, but I am well adjusted and get along great with everyone, i'm not like depressed or anything. I do struggle with anxiety from time to time, probably like many of us.

The dream this morning she told me it was okay to hold her hand...and in this dream i was younger, maybe 20 or 25.....

Cut to the freaky part and today i had a meeting at my job. During the meeting someone knocked on the door, as they thought the room was available. I shit you not it was the girl from the dream. I spent all day trying to figure out who she was. She evidently works in another division of the company (we are a large corporation). I felt kind of sick on my stomach, as i spent all day trying to figure out if I had ever saw her somewhere before at work, you know how you can dream about the weirdest thing. But i never have, I have never met her before. It was like the worst feeling of deja vu. Our eyes locked for a second this morning, and for a minute it looked like she was trying to figure out who i was.

The worst part is i'm happily married. What could all of this mean. Is this just a terrible coincidence? Could i have seen her before and just not paid attention, having no idea i would dream about her later on. (I have worked at this company over two years)

Very surreal day....

I know her name. I don't necessarily believe the dream means i am supposed to end up with her. I don't know what the significance of it all means. The crazy thing is how normal, relaxing, and calming the dreams were. I remember feeling so at peace during the dreams, like i didn't have a care in the world. And i still remember being giddy like a school kid when we were holding hands this morning (In the dream). I just don't know how to process it all.

I do sort of feel like a psycho though, because i do want to find out more about her only for the maddening purpose of trying to put it all together. Perhaps she plays some critical role in my life in some way, or me doing the same thing for her (saving my life, me saving her from a car accident or something)...

This is just nuts. I told my battle buddy today over text messaging he swore i was just making it up man but i'm telling you the truth 100% no lie

The girl in real life / in the dream, is very attractive. What shocked me is that she looked EXACTLY like her dream counterpart. Same hairstyle, everything.

She doesn't have super-model looks. She is very pretty, her face is calming and comforting. Sort of like motherly like i guess, i dont' know how to describe. I think she is a few years younger than me (I'm 29). When i saw her this morning, just for that split second the feeling i got before being totally freaked out was like i was seeing someone i hadn't seen in a long time. It was like my brain was trying to shake the cobwebs....

I am still figuring out a way to approach her. I know her name now, what department she works in. It is crazy because i can't really go introduce myself as just a random person. I can't be like "oh yeah i saw you the other day come in the conference room, how you doin?" or something like that...

I don't think there's anything wrong with that kind of approach. It's not like you're a random creeper.

If you're looking for a subject, the easiest thing you can do is talk about something work related; the last meeting you went to, how it is working in her department compared to yours, something harmless and non-threatening. Hell, I once opened a conversation with someone I was interested in talking about their shoes.

Really, don't overthink it.

I think I'm currently reading about you!

For reals though, my guess would be that you've seen her before but didn't consciously notice her until after she somehow crept into your subconscious. I have no idea what that could mean, but it's damn interesting.

Snake, I am not picking on you when I say this thread is both cool and nutty.

BTW a number of dream researchers talk about the hidden wisdom of dreams. The molecular structure of the benzene ring was discovered in a dream. Arnold Palmer went through a golfing slump until he saw what he was doing wrong in a dream. And there are more examples besides these. Check out books on dreaming by LaBarge or Bulkeley if you want to know more.
