I'm sure Tress will be well compensated for #5.

Re: Jayden Daniels - Commanders QB Thread

FYI folks, Daniels has not played one single game in the NFL. I know we are all drinking the Kool Aid but what he did in college, actually what he did last year mostly got him drafted #2 overall. None of that matters now. It's what he does in Sept and then on is all that matters.

I'll wait until he plays several games before we say if he is better or worse than Sam. Remember, Sam did have some huge games, despite not getting much from his coaches. Just don't want to crown this kid when he hasn't even taken a snap or played a game.

Again, Sam has played one full season and Daniels hasn't played a game. We will just have to see how it plays out. Remember the % of 1st round busts at QB is probably over 50%.

Re: Jayden Daniels - Commanders QB Thread

For him to be successful, we need a good running game and a better defense. I think we'll have both, resulting from major upgrades to the Coaching staff and better players.

Are there still holes? Sure, but I don't think we have gaping holes that will prevent the kid from developing at a normal, if not rapid, pace.

As always, time will tell, but my $$ is on JD being much better than SH when it's all said and done.

some of that is going to bad teams that can't coach QBs though. For example, JJ, while he's probably never going to be manning or brady, is very likely to succeed with the coaches (kevin o'connell) etc that are in place on the vikings than if he went to a place like carolina.

It's hard to factor that in to a single "this % of qbs made it to a second contract" number, but it's pretty important context. SH would have done much better being somewhere else last year (that was LESS dysfunctional than us, i.e. not carolina).

It's easy to get more and more excited about JD, well, at least in my head.

I've gone from drinking the Kool Aid to snorting it out of the little packets. JD is going to own the league from Day 1 (I hope).

This is a great read. As impressive as his physical attributes are, I'm starting to think his mental attributes and work ethic are just as stellar. Kid is so committed and has great character. People keep worrying about him getting hurt, but he's tough as nails and has been durable. Just have a qb this committed is going to do wonders for this franchise, yet alone one with elite skills. Know he hasn't taken a pro snap yet, but Peters and JD have mixed up the most delicious Kool-Aid I've had since Gibbs II.

I certainly hope you are right. After everything this fanbase has been through over the years, we deserve to have a true franchise QB.

Re: Jayden Daniels - Commanders QB Thread

on a side note, that kid Nabers that Daniels was throwing dimes to, he is going to be a problem. He is a flat out baller. What a great combination those two were at LSU.

Jones would be the MVP of the league if he got to play us every week. We'll see, big year for Jones. But no doubt a terrible contract they gave him. Should have just let him walk and let Tyrod Taylor play. Jones isn't any better, may be worse than Taylor.

Great pick by the Giants. Nabers is going to make them better right away.

With DQ at the helm, I think his success will end against us
