People need to chill with the CBs, I am sure we will get one. But right now safety sould be a slightly higher priority. I don't want to go with Doughty and Gomes as our starting safeties.

Biggest problem with the way the Redskins are approaching the defense right now is that they are to an extent, being accepting of mediocrity on that side of the ball.

And the problem if you shoot for mediocrity -- and ask anyone who has watched our offense the last two or three years -- is that you typically don't get anything resembling mediocrity.

We need to either reinforce our strength (the linebacker level) or fix our weaknesses (secondary, safeties, corner depth, D-Hall). I realize we're too cap restrained to do both, but just pick one or the other and at least try to make an incremental improvement over last year.

I'm thinking the draft strategy has already been adjusted accordingly. I expect to see more defense than I orginially thought.
