I did a search and I couldn't find if anyone else brought this up, if so I apologize if it has, any way did anyone notice that New Era is the new hat supplier for the NFL ie. sidelines, Super Bowl Pro bowl etc.? I don't know how I feel about this. Much of what they make are those stupid Flat bill hats that are popular now. During this years pro bowl some of the players were wearing New Era NFC, AFC hats that looked as if they were flat bills that they tried to shape.

I'm not a fan of flat bills but to attempt to answer your question I'd presume it's because either A- it's popular now and B- this company is trying to make a name for itself and stepping out of the norm to do it. Personally I think the flat bills are stupid. Makes people look like dorks. I'm even picky about where my hat is made. I prefer the hats made in Bangladesh (I think thats it) because the bills are thinner and are more easy to form to my liking. |
