I have a fourth round grade on it (which is actually up from where I had him at the end of the season), but unless you ask the question, "what are the Redskins looking for at this pick?" you would not have been able to predict the Jarvis Jenkins pick either.

When I was evaluating the Jenkins pick, I noticed two things:
1) The Redskins may have been able to get Jenkins a round later
2) They did not pass up anyone else that could do what Jenkins could in order to take him

I kind of think that Weeden in the second round would be the same thing. The Redskins probably could get him in the third round. But what are they looking for? Someone who fits both what Mike and Kyle like in a QB? Someone with advanced mechanics? A guy who will not limit the offense with physical limitations? Brandon Weeden offers all that. The only thing he doesn't offer is a good value pick at a need position.

I think that FANS should be skeptical of Weeden because fans want the best long-term solution possible. Weeden won't even be the best value pick at QB on the board whenever he is drafted. Kellen Moore and Kirk Cousins have MUCH better long term projections, in my estimation. But why on God's Green Earth would the Shanahans care who the QB of the Redskins is in 2016? They aren't going to base ANY of their draft decisions on long-term projection, which is why Weeden makes more sense for them than for another team.
