If thats the case, why on earth would we we rest him so he could get healthy to improve his stock next year for another team. If he's healthy enough to play, he needs to play. thats what we're paying him for.

My only concern with this and getting rid of defensive players (like D. Hall), is that I really don't want for the FO to create holes and have to use a lot of resources on the defense. I know this sounds crazy, but I feel that for the past two seasons (except for picking up T. Williams in the draft) we've been spending our resources (high picks/FAs) on defensive players.

I am done with rebuilding the defense. We've gotten Bowen, Carriker, Cofield, Kerrigan, Wilson, Gomes, Jenkins, and Atogwe over the past two seasons. Haslett needs to figure out what to do with those guys and the carryovers from the previous regime (Fletcher, Hall, Barnes, Riley, etc., etc.).

Shanahan needs a franchise QB, and that's going to cost picks; we need a true #1 WR, and that may cost picks or FA money. We are probably going to need a RT, and that may cost a pick or FA money. The point is that I want to see an emphasis on spending resources on the offense as the team has done with the defense over the past two seasons.

I don't want to see some f*cking retread QB or some low round project QB, I want a franchise QB. I want a solid #1 WR, a solid RT, and some good depth for our line. Hell, we may need even need a TE. I am not saying that we shouldn't get new defensive player, but I don't want to see a first or second rounder spent on a defensive player.

If the team can get Landry to stay at a reasonable price, then keep him. If Mike Shanahan is fine with Hall's antics (which I think he is, otherwise he would have given him the Haynesworth/McNabb treatment) then keep him. Haslett has been given a lot of resources, and he needs to make them work. This isn't like the offense, where we have a patchwork o-line, a starting QB that is at best a backup, and a whole bunch of WRs that are past their prime.
