Re: 2012 QB Class
Kellen Moore's first grade from Scouts Inc
1 = EXCEPTIONAL 2 = ABOVE AVERAGE 3 = AVERAGE 4 = BELOW AVERAGE 5 = MARGINAL Kellen Moore: Boise State Grade 47 (6th Round Grade) 31-49 GRADE Late Rounds ROUND EQUIVALENT These are players that flash some upside but certainly do not have the full package in terms of NFL talent. Often times, these are underdeveloped prospects that need extra time and coaching in order to compete for a roster spot in the NFL. NFL teams are looking for 'diamonds in the rough' with this type of prospect. He will usually rate in the bottom third of players at his position and will be considered a late round draft choice or un-drafted free agent. OVERALL FOOTBALL TRAITS Production 1 - "2007: Redshirt. 2008: (14/14) 40528169.43,5022510 2009: (13/13) 43227764.13,536393 2010: (13/13) 38327371.33,845356 " Height-Weight-Speed 5 Vastly undersized in terms of overall measureables for the position. Top-end speed is average. Durability - 3 -"Durability has not been an issue throughout career (2008-'10). However, lack of size particularly bulk brings up concerns about his ability to withstand a 16 game regular season in the NFL. " Intangibles -1 - "A football junky. Intelligent individual and a well spoken representative of the program. Possesses a high football I.Q. Has developed into the unquestioned leader of the team. Holds a 38-2 record as a starter throughout career (2008-'10). Thrives under pressure and wants the ball in his hand late in the fourth quarter with the game on the line. In the 2010 opener down four points with 1:47 left in the game against Virginia Tech, he completed four of five throws taking the team 56 yards for game winning touchdown in just 45 seconds. Graduated in May 2011 with bachelor's degree in communications and is currently pursuing agraduate degree. " QUARTERBACK SPECIFIC TRAITS Mental Makeup - 1- "A cerebral QB that does an efficient job of conducting a pro-style offense. Does a great job of getting pre/post snap reads. Diagnoses coverages quickly and has very good anticipation and timing with throws. A sound decision maker who can get through progressions and rarely forces throws into coverage. Understands the value of ball security and willing to take check downs. Holds a 99-19 TD/INT ratio through first three seasons. Arguably the most poised, efficient and effective QBs in all of football running the two-minute drill with the game on the line. " Accuracy - 3 - "Throws a catchable ball. Very accurate with short-throws and rarely forces targets to adjust to the ball. Also displays excellent touch to drop the ball in the bucket with fade/go routes. Can change ball speeds and projection with intermediate crossing passes. Flashes ability to make accurate throw off of back foot. However, too often falls away with throws which can lead to him missing the mark especially high. Accuracy can also dip when having to drive the ball in tight window down field. " Release/Arm Strength - 4 - "Possesses a bit of ¾ release. Lower release point combined with lack of height brings up concerns for batted down balls. To his credit, does an excellent job of changing release points when need be. Arm strength is average at best. Will have issues driving the ball down field and ball can hang in the air with deeper out routes. Bottom line will have to rely on above-average anticipation and timing to be successful at the next level." Pocket Mobility - 2 "Lacks speed and elusiveness to be a running threat. However, is quick and has great poise in the pocket. Naturally feels the rush and does a great job of maneuvering to buy time while keeping eyes down field. While he lacks height he does a nice job of finding throwing lanes to deliver throw. Can buy break contain and extend play outside of the pocket if need be. Needs to do a better job of keeping two hands on the ball to protect the ball inside the pocket. "

If he is available in round 5 or later, i pull the trigger: either he doesnt turn into a strong nfl qb and we only lost a 5th round pick, or he is excellent and becomes a starter/trade bait. Why not? |

Jokes aside, I wouldn't mind drafting a QB as high as we can and another one later on.

Re: 2012 QB Class
I'd draft 2 QBs for sure

Re: 2012 QB Class
I agree, but I would draft Foles in the first and Moore starting somewhere in the 4th round on.
