Wait, what? Earlier you were giving me a hard time in the position of need thread for saying I liked Landry Jones over RG3.... I'm confused. Or maybe you're confused.

I'd rather have landry jones. RG3 probably won't be coming out this year

He more than likely will be coming out this year since he already has his degree and a lot of guys he's playing with now are seniors. Do you really think he wants to risk hurting his draft stock by coming back and playing with underclassmen? That wouldn't be smart.

I believe Landry Jones will be a good qb, but i believe that RG3 is more mobile and more accurate passing the football than both Jones and Barkley.

You're talking in circles. After you criticized me for saying I liked Jones over RG3, you then say Jones is the #2 QB in the draft behind Luck , but now RG3 is once again better than Jones and Barkley? Make up your mind.

What is so confusing about what I'm saying? Landry Jones and Matt Barkley are both very good qbs, but RG3 is a better fit for what we do here. He's more accurate and more mobile than both Jones and Barkley. Do you disagree? If you disagree then you're only exposing your lack of football knowledge. If you agree then what are we talking about here?

What exactly do "we do here?" The Shanny's inherited a mobile QB who was entrenched with this team (Campbell) and immediately shipped him off. Then we traded important picks for another mobile and accomplished QB and proceeded to give up on him pretty quickly (McNabb). Then Mike "stakes his reputation" on two different QBs, one immobile and and one mobile, neither of which look like anything to write home about.

So it seems to me that "what we do here" is irrelevant really. We don't do anything as far as the QB position is concerned. Kyle had a pretty darn good offense in Houston with Matt Schaub. He's not RG3 as far as athleticism is concerned. So in my eyes, if you feel Jones is a better pro prospect than RG3 in a vacuum (which I do, too), that's the guy we go with.

And like I said before, RG3 is accurate, but padding stats against Rice and Stephen F. Austin while Jones is shredding Texas Tech and K State doesn't really wow me. I wouldn't be surprised if RG3 goes back to school for another year. He'll be a much higher pick than if he comes out after this season.

This proves that you don't watch college football or you don't understand it. You keep bring up the fact that RG3 had incredible games against Stephen F. Austin and Rice. You completely dismissing his 350 yard 5td performance against K State. He threw for 400 yards against both Texas A&M and OKST this Saturday even though his team was completely over matched. I'm not taking anything away from Landry Jones because I believe he is indeed a great qb. However, lets be real every Oklahoma qb puts up big numbers. He's playing for a much better team with better talent on both sides of the ball. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

What sense would it make for RG3 to come back to school? He's already been there for 4 years, he has his degree, and most of the guys he's playing with are seniors. It would be stupid for him to come back definitely with his draft stock rising the way it is. More than likely he'll declare this up and coming draft. If he's there when it's our time to pick we take him.
