And I hope they keep it modern with 5. I liked having the technological advances in 4 like the cell phone, and the ability to call that number that tells you what song is playing. I didn't like your friends calling you up every 10 minutes to go hang out though, that got annoying. Other than the main storyline missions, I hope they put side things in there to make the game more interesting. Maybe customize your character a bit more, maybe go gambling, or do other fun activities. It felt useless having all that money in 4 with nothing to do with it.

![]() But I still love all the side stuff even if some of it can drive you nuts. That's part of the GTA experience, wouldn't be the same if you didn't launch your controller across the room a couple times. I can't remember any truly painful missions in GTA IV but I can still vividly remember a few from previous games: Vice City - Firetruck Level 12 San Andreas - Chilead Challenge - Ammunation Challenge - Vigilante Level 12 - The whole world used the tank for this but not me, I did it on a motorcycle. Hardest thing I ever accomplished in a video game. Anyways I hope they don't change too much for GTA V, if it ain't broke... Last edited by CrazyCanuck; 10-26-2011 at 04:42 PM. |

Base jumping was great as well, I loved going gambling in Venturas, and I made an assload of money at the racetracks gambling place in Los Santos. There was absolutely no shortage of fun stuff to do on the San Andreas map, you had so many unlimited choices there. GTA 4 just felt streamlined and more serious. If they do go back to LA for this one, I hope there is a bit of countryside included, to kind of bring that back a little bit. And maybe bring planes back to, although I don't think they'll be doing the multiple cities thing they did with SA. All in all though in between the news that there will be multiple choices for your character, I'm excited to see where it's headed and what they're going to do to differentiate. And I also enjoyed doing Vigilante, Firetruck, Ambulance, etc. missions too, so if they brought those back I'd be happy. Hell, if they made one of the playable characters a cop I'd enjoy that too. I just hope there's more things to do with your time than there was in 4, less "your buddy calls and wants a burger and will lose respect for you if you don't stop whatever you're doing to appease him", and more "openness with fun activities to do."

I'm done with the gta series, give me Saints Row 3 any day of the week. It's like gta used to be when before it became to realistic and boring.
