I was watching that and I thought the exact same thing. Even Joe Buck was fooled by it, he was like, "he got out of bounds so that'll give them time to run one last play." And then they were like, "oh that was 4th down, that's it." How did Felix Jones not know what down it was? Extremely dumb move.

No kidding. Ronnie Brown was dumb. But you don't get more boneheaded than Felix.
Which raises the question: what is up with the Cowboys offense? Those guys make tons of mental errors every week.

With all the teams that are putting premiums on getting a bunch of guys with good field sense, it's not so inconceivable that a lot of guys that lack it can all end up on the same team. If the Cowboys think there's an inefficiency in the market, that could explain the team-wide brain cramp.
