Hunters shoot innocent animals that can't defend themselves just to hang them up as trophies. Farmers kill animals for financial gains. At the end of the day those animals are dead. It really matter why or how they were killed. The point is Mike Vick served his time and he has a right to move on with his life. You should try moving on with yours.

Farmers kill animals to feed people...and not domesticated animals.

Vick tortured animals for the sole purpose of entertaining himself.

If you can't see the moral distinction between those two, I feel very sorry for you.

Yes, Vick served his time in jail...he should have because he was a criminal.

He hasn't "turned his life around" because he's employed again...he simply went back to work after getting out of jail. Is Plaxico Burress a "great redemption story of a man who has re-made himself" too? What about Lawrence Phillips? Would he be a hero if he came back? Simply returning to his job is nothing to praise him for. Why don't we put some more attention on those who have stayed on the right side of the law, done good things without a judge telling them too and have been on the field instead of in jail? London Fletcher comes to mind.

Last time I checked cows, sheep, pigs and chickens are domesticated animals so farmers do kill domesticated animals. They arent pets but they are domesticated animals.

In fairness, Vick has done more than just "return to work". He has spoken on the topic, worked with the SPCA, sought advice from people like Tony Dungy. I'll give credit where credit is due - he certainly seems to be working towards redemption. I, as you, just don't think his "redemption" really been tested yet. It easy to "do the right thing" when the world is all rosy for you, let's see what happens Vick is no longer in the limelight.

Well, since everything eventually dies, it really doesn't matter how it happens does it?

Yes - how and why living things are killed does matter. Brutal torture of animals or humans is wrong.

He has a right to move on with his life and no one is preventing him from doing so - hence the $100 Million. As I have said, merely "serving your time" is the beginning of redemption, not its end. I am slowly (very slowly) coming around to the belief that he may have actually changed. If he continues his good works and continues to say and do the right things after football goes away, I will believe it. Until then, the question will always remain (to me anyway) - Is he truly sorry? Or is he just saying the right things so he can keep playing ball? Having someone like Dungy in his corner counts a long way for me.

But, whatever, he plays for the Eagles so I don't need to justify or parse my hatred of him.

All the hunters I know respect the animals they hunt and make sure the meat goes to good use. You do understand that there are other animals people can eat besides cows, chickens, and pigs. you don't have to get your meat from a market. They also donate the meat.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Monday marked the beginning of firearm deer season in Pennsylvania and hunters have been out in full force.
The Game Commission estimates around 750,000 hunters were in the woods on the first day.
This year, many hunters will be sharing the wealth with local food banks.
The program is called “Hunters Sharing the Harvest” and it is the oldest and most successful program of its type in the U.S. Many hunters embrace the program and the opportunity to help the community.
