I'm not giving him any credit as a person. I think the only thing that's going to motivate the guy is cold hard cash.
One of these days he's going to have to play in a dominant fashion if he wants another contract. And he will have to do it for more than just one full season in order to convince people he deserves a big payday. You know his agent is telling him that.
It's just a matter of whether we force him to do it with us, or allow him to do it with someone else.

Meh, he's already 30. He had his big payday. Even if he goes balls out the next 2 years, nobody is going to give an aging DT with major attitude problems another monster contract.
