Good question, I remember this episode on Tales from the krypt or some crap, Her twin wouldn't really be innocent seeing that they were there and did nothing.

What Quake said. Since you know the twin had been there and couldn't stop it, that twin would most likely be charged as an accomplice.

What if for some reason she couldn't stop it, and so she was the one who tells the police and rats her sister out?
