Re: Super Bowl XLV
Of course you need more than just a QB, but there's no doubt that teams with the big time QBs are the ones that are always in the hunt at season's end.

The main reason both QB's have been successful is because both Ben and Aaron have become masters of improvising and moving around while still remaining accurate. People were expecting the next evolution of QB's to be a bunch of guys like Vick but rather we ended up with a relatively large group of Steve Young incarnates. Plus with all the crazy blitz packages in the NFL these days it seems that you need either A) A QB with a ridiculously quick release (ie Peyton) or a guy with great pocket awareness and mobility (Big Ben, Rodgers). Also keep in mind both Super Bowl QB's have been among the most sacked QB's over the course of the past two years. Our main problem as it relates to our problems up front is that we've had virtually 0 resources poured into our line before 2010 (where we saw 5 players added).

Re: Super Bowl XLV
And yet the redskins streak of playing the super bowl winning team the past 4 years stands.

Re: Super Bowl XLV
Was it just me or did Randel El celebrate his catches like he had score TD's. He was the only one that I noticed over celebrating everything they did.

Re: Super Bowl XLV
I did. Our franchise has things it can learn from the successful ones. The thing I notice the most on the winning teams is the players and coaches respect each other. No public throwing each other under the bus. They enjoy working together. What a concept.

Re: Super Bowl XLV
Meh, Shanahan made a gaffe when he first benched McNabb, but McNabb was a sick little bitchy ****ing coward with the whole agent ordeal.

Like Tiki and Tom Coughlin? Its a good general statement, but there is more to it then just that. And again Shanahan has been successful in the past and hopefully will be in the future.

Re: Super Bowl XLV
Shahahan has been successful with one of the best, if not the best QB of all time. He's already proven that he's really not a great personel man. Say what you will about Coughlin but he's a damn good football coach. I wouldn't want to play for him but he's a proven winner with two teams.

Re: Super Bowl XLV
Very rare does that happen though most SB teams have big time QBs
