I really liked hearing that Steelers coach Tomlin waited at the locker room door and thank each of his players for a successful season. Class move. Shanahan can learn from him.

Tomlin has become on of my favorite coaches. I just like the way the guy goes about his business. No game playing, no my way or the highway type of crap, simply a great hire.

Rogers was clearly the difference. He might be the best pure passer I've seen in a while. How many drops did he have? The score could've been worse if his guys could hang on to the ball. And our former Redskin, Ryan Clark kinda had a rough night. And great kick Suisham! lol.

I like the way GB uses 2 sometimes 3 backs in their offense at the same time.

A couple of things to mention:

First, notice how stale Green Bay's offense went in the third quarter when they abandoned the run. One reason why I feel the Steelers were able to mount a comeback is that the Packers started becoming way too one dimensional. If they would have stuck with the running game, especially when they were up 21-10, then I believe they would have shortened the game and kept the Steeler's offense off the field.

Secondly, a lot of dropped passes! If at least half of those dropped passes were caught, the Packers probably could have put the game away much sooner.

My hat's off to the Packers. I was happy to see Aaron Rodgers get his first Super Bowl ring and receive MVP honors on top of that.

As much as I hate the Pittsburgh Steelers, I do respect Mike Tomlin. He is a classy guy and I'm sure he will have the Steelers back in the thick of things again next season (whenever that next season is.)

With how young the Packers are, this could definitely be the start of a dynasty. Amazing how they overcame so many injuries. Once they get everyone back they could be even better next year.

Yeah but a QB is the PG of the team, you can win SBs with avg lines.. GB and Pitt both are far from great OLines.

Ive watched a fair amount of Green Bay games this year, I was generally shocked by the amount of drops by their recievers all year. Jennings and James Jones seem to be the main culprits, Nelson dropped 3 yesterday. I wouldnt be surprised if Green Bay grabs receiver(s) in the draft, especially with their best hands guy, Driver, probably retiring.

Jordy Nelson was all or nothing yesterday... Rodgers would have had close to 400 yards if you took away those drops.

I don't know if I agree with that. Historically, the teams that win Super Bowls usually are solid, above average up front. GB's OL had improved a lot this year, and Pitt's OL was nothing to scuff at.

GB and Pitt have decent o-lines, nothing special. What makes them look better than they are is the QB's. Rodgers gets the ball out quick and moves well in the pocket, and Ben can scramble around and make things happen.

The Steelers really are something else. Known, deservedly so, for the loyalty they show, they choose to bypass two fairly obvious coach in waiting candidates in Whisenhunt and Grimm and take a guy who was defensive coordinator for one year with no ties to the Steelers and make him one of the youngest head coaches ever. That would totally blow up in our face, but it works for the Steelers.

They have a clear model for success that starts at the top with Rooney.

Well at least in the case of Green Bay, they were able to give their you QB some time to develop (I believe three years behind Favre I believe). I don't think Big Ben sat in the bench that long, but I believe he can to a pretty complete Pittsburgh team.

The QB position is important, but our team has made a terrible job of bringing in average to mediocre QBs behind mediocre to terrible offensive lines. And we don't develop our own QBs. Green Bay and Pittsburgh drafted their QBs and develop them into the elite players they are now.

The Redskins need to find a way to develop a young QB, and put him in a situation where he can survive the growing pains during the first season or two until they are good enough to compensate for a weak line, average receivers, and/or the lack of a running game.

We don't JUST need a QB, we need to follow the blueprint that teams like the Steelers and Packers have done in the past couple of seasons. And just saying that we need a QB is not enough in my opinion.
