ESPN Say's Newton To Enter Draft

Found this little nugget on the Skins blog. Doesn't sound like too many sports columnists are pro Newton. I can't really say I disagree either.

Just one cautious word when it comes to selecting Newton: PROJECT!

Are we conceding that Michael Vick's early years are the way to go? Kyle's offense is too structure for the likes of Cam Newton - the one look QB.

A team drafting Cam Newton will have to take him as is and not try to reinvent him. Our offense dictates that we stick with the drop back/make the reads QB.
