Re: NBA Screwed?: James Leaning Towards Heat

The East seems as strong, or stronger than the West this upcoming year. East contenders: Heat Bulls Magic Celtics Atlanta Charlotte - Don't laugh, they're getting good. West contenders: Nuggets Lakers Blazers Spurs - getting very old though downgraded: Utah - lost Boozer Phoenix - lost Amare

That is what sucks the West is already weak and now they lost two of their Stars, might as well ink the Lakers in for the finals.

Re: NBA Screwed?: James Leaning Towards Heat
If some team other than the Lakers is in the finals in 2011, Iwill say it is a strong division.

Re: NBA Screwed?: James Leaning Towards Heat
I think the Suns (even with Amare gone), and Jazz (even with Boozer gone) are still formidable. Spurs are getting old but I never count them out. I think Dirk is better suited to be the #2 guy on a team, but they're strong. The Nuggets, despite the adversity of Karl's cancer battle, are very competitive. And then you've got the OKC Thunder. Not to mention the Blazers and Grizzlies as up and coming teams as well.

I hear you but none of those teams put any fear in the Lakers.

On another note, I'm not saying Hakim Warrick is Amare, but I think he can be a sleeper offensively for Phoenix with Nash distributing him the ball To me, though, the biggest wild card is Greg Oden. If he can come back healthy I think the Blazers could be like Orlando out of the East in 2009

Re: NBA Screwed?: James Leaning Towards Heat
If I were a Laker fan, I'd be very scared of OKC next year. Durant's been getting exponentially better each season and nobody can really stop Westbrook at the PG position. They need size, but they traded for the big Kansas dude in the draft. They took the Lake show to 6 last year (almost to a 7th if it weren't for a last second shot) and it was their first time in the playoffs, not to mention being the youngest team in the NBA.
