Re: NBA Playoffs anyone?
A tough loss and my hats off to an insane game by Allen. now it goes to Boston but I'm confident the lakers can get 2 out of the 3 there. I just hope the refs start letting the 2 teams actually play without calling a foul on either team on what feels like every other possesion. There have been over 110 fouls called against the 2 teams combined which means a bit more than one called for every minute of play so far. That's ridiculous and is keeping us from seeing the best players on the court as much as we should be.

Re: NBA Playoffs anyone?
You can't rely on that shooting from Allen or anyone every game. This was only the speedbump expected on the way to the game 6 win.

Re: NBA Playoffs anyone?
The Celtics looked very good last night and I think Rondo was more of a dagger then Allen to the Lakers.
The fouls are just plain ruining this series IMO. Anywho, GO CELTICS!!!!

I be happy to bet you that the Lakers will not win 3 straight in Boston. This series will go seven games, not saying the Celtics are going to win it but to think last nights performance sealed the deal for the Lakers is foolish. Let me also point again Kobe didn't show up in crunch time. You can thank Fischer for last nights win.

Re: NBA Playoffs anyone?
The match-up, or rather mismatch is Gasol v. Garnett. Gasol is really coming into his own with those short jumpers from the perimeter.
Pierce and Allen are too streaky for Rondo to make that much of a difference. And we may have seen the best from Garnett last night. The Lakers, as hard as they've played the last three games, are still shooting horribly from the arc. And I think Kobe was like 10-29 last night? No way those two things continue, at some point someone on the Lakers will have a Ray Allenesque game and put the Cs out of their misery. Speaking of Allen, shame on you dude! You suck, but I ain't complaining. |

. People have been talking about Disher & the whole age thing all playoffs, but he's outlasted and at times outplayed players like Westbrook, D. Williams, Nash, and now Allen(who's only one year younger than Fisher). I'll take "old washed up" Derek Fisher any day and keep adding on the championships thank you very much.

Re: NBA Playoffs anyone?
I'm not worried and I still see us winning in 6. Last night just like game 2 required a freak way above average game from someone on the Celtics to win and this time it was two bench players in Robinson and Davis. In game 4 those 2 combined for only 5 pts less than they did the 3 previous games combined, so I wouldn't bank on that happening again anytime soon. Only having Bynum in last nights game for 12 minutes had a huge impact on 2nd chance pts for the Celtics and these next 2 days will be helpful in getting him some extra rest.

Doesn't have any bearing on this series but just thought I'd throw out a stat from the 2008 Finals, which I enjoyed greatly, "The 39-point differential in Game 6 was the largest in a clinching game in NBA Finals history and the second largest margin overall for any Finals game."
