Part of what makes Jeff Fisher "great" is that he's had the opportunity to stick it out for so many years in Houston/Tennessee. Some of his greatness is really longevity. His teams though have finished .500 or less over half his career.

That's why I am hoping JZ gets to stay on for many years. Coaching stability, not high priced big shot names is what we need. Unless he shows total ineptitude, we need to give him time.

It's not like the Redskins shortcomings aren't spelled out for them. Everyone I listen too says the very same thing in describing the way they do business. With this team "and it's fans" if things don't happen for the good overnight, straight to the wagon of change they go seeking refuge which all too often has failed to deliver. We need to give hope a chance.

Good point! How long has Jeff Fisher been coaching his team? Longer than our last three coaches combined, and a testement to structure and stability.

If things do not start well for us this season, we're going to again see what seperates us from teams that consistently contend year after year. We will again be talking about a new or different coach, a different QB and who knows what else, all signs of instability.

A laughing stock we not be yet, but as long as we continue changing the guard year after year we can continue to expect more of the same.
