Colt's post-game comments on Saturday were a bit interesting. He said that he basically forced that interception because he was trying to impress and make the team. He said had it been the regular season, he probably would have just taken the sack.

Well, that's the thing. If you want to make the team you have to also make smart decisions when you get your shot in the preseason. And sometimes that's taking the sack. But you can definitely tell that he's feeling the pressure just to stay on the team if he's admitting that he's forcing plays that aren't there.

Sounds like a pretty lame excuse to me. Just own the mistake and move on.

What are the chances that no quarterback currently on our roster will be still be here opening day 2010?

Without a Head Coach change, zero. Even if JC blows it and TC retires, one of the young guys will stay on the roster. If we dump everyone it would look real bad on the FO & Zorn.

It would be odd to dump everyone at QB but with a coaching change who knows. Let's just get through this season.

He connects with those throws though.

TC's arm is fine.

How quickly we forget about what a true weak arm looks like.

Matthews, Wuerffel, Brunell at the end.

I've always been a skeptic of any QB that put up ridiculous college numbers with the Run & Shoot, the Spread or any other quirky passing offense, all of which I will refer to as the Chuck & Duck. The number of QBs who flamed out after running a C&D system in college is a long one. Remember Timmy Chang, who preceded Colt at Hawaii? How about Andre Ware, David Klingler, Danny Weurffel, Kliff Kingsbury, Tim Couch, etc. Yes, Chase ran a Spread O at Mizzou, but he certainly looks a lot more disciplined, yet decisive than Colt IMO. And to those who were calling for Colt over Jason - that notion is downright laughable.

Wow....did someone really say that?

Going to fan day last year, the difference in Soup and Colt was pretty crazy. JC's throws look like lasers, and Colt's look like lollipops, there really is no comparision IMO. If we are just comparing physically, its not even fair, Soup is a much more talented player. Now mentally we need them both to step up and start making some better reads with the ball. With our running game, and a stellar defense, the last thing we need is a gunslinger, at least Soup is taking care of the ball. Now if he can just start putting some numbers on the board, Ill be very happy. Im looking forward to Fridays game, hopefully the starters will play the entire first half.

How bout Jim Kelly and Warren Moon? both played in the R&S before coming to the NFL. Both were very good if i remember correctly.

I remember reading somewhere CB saying that you try to play like the coach wants you to but you're the one on the field and sometimes you have to do it your way. I remember reading it to my GF and saying that I didn't think Zorn would like this if he read it. I wish I could find it.
