I think because it was done before June 1st dont have to pay him. So it saves them real money, cap hit stays the same. This will help them develop the young talent that have. Also helps cap situation next year.

Yes at this time there is no cap, but they will get something worked out. The nfl players and owner want to work something out.

wanna bet? I think enough teams have prepared for the uncapped year that it will take a miracle to make it happen now. No way in hell does Danny Boy vote for a cap unless the agreement is astoundingly one-sided in the owner's favor.

Danny Boy is one of 32 owners in the league and in the minority that would want no cap, if he wants no cap. The problem is the rookies get to much money to sign. Even the players agree with this and want some of that money to go to veterans. I dont think it is a given. I think them cutting Jansen is in some way evidence that they will get a deal done.
