Re: Unknown draft prospects we should keep an eye on
gotta ask you hokies about Ryan Shuman the center from VT. I knew the kid and his dad a long time ago (his dad is a legendary coach in VA) so i know he has the smarts and can play both G/C. but I only got to see VT play 2 times this year so im not sure where his game is at. Read that He put both Raji and Brace on the ground ant the senior bowl, but he is familiar with those two from playing BC, and not too much was made of it. I read hes anywhere from the # 7-16 C in the draft so he should be able to later round/udfa but is his game good enough? room to improve or has he maxed out...any input from you VT guys would help!

Can't give a detailed analysis, but from watching most of the games I wouldn't say he was the problem w/the o line, but did have some issues w/pass blocking. |

Shuman's report indicates that an area he can improve in is strength w/only 23 reps on the bench. Otherwise it looks like he's a decent athlete for the position. He might be a good project to have as depth & maybe he could develop into a starter in a couple years w/a lot of training. |
