Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting
For what it's worth, one of the confirmed "facts" of the case according to witnesses is he beat up a guy using "ninja hands" (not even joking as thats what witenesses were reported saying). The good news is that apparently the guy he beat up was an ex-con who served time for murder, but thats only speculation.

Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting
Yeah, I'm not convicting Harrison just yet. Just because the gun was registered to him doesn't mean he's the one who fired it, one of his so called friends could've taken it and tried to set him up. Do they have Harrison's prints on the gun on the handle? I'm just gonna wait and see where this leads to before I call him guilty.

![]() On a side note he apparently owns 25 guns, so personally that scares me a little. After which having cops show up to car wash, lying that the gun wasn't there only to find it minutes later in a bucket doesn't really bode well for Harrison in my eyes. Personally I just want to get to the bottom of this and find out if the only reciever who was worth modeling in terms of conduct is nothing more then a fraud. I have my doubts, and if the guy Harrison beat up really is an ex-murderer then I won't blame Harrison in the least. However the gun shooting apparently led to a little girl getting hurt by flying glass, and personally thats something that I think is hard to overlook.

Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting
ESPN - Sources: Six of casings found after shooting came from Harrison's gun - NFL
Sources: Six of casings found after shooting came from Harrison's gun Six of the bullet casings found after an April 29 shooting near Marvin Harrison's car wash and garage came from a gun that belongs to the Colts wide receiver, Philadelphia police sources told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio. Police returned to the scene of the crime Monday to examine bullet holes in two residences after new information was provided to police by an alleged third victim of the shooting. Harrison's representatives say Harrison was not present during the shooting incident, and that his gun was not involved. Monday, Harrison's attorney declined comment. Police say they have no suspects in the case. "He was interviewed," Lt. Frank Vanore said Friday. "Why he was interviewed, that is all part of the investigation. No one is a suspect." I hope someone just stole his gun and used it, because he is one of my all time favorite players.

What a total dumbass. If you're Marvin Harrison, why are you owning a business in a real bad part of town anyway? You're just asking for trouble. Does this guy have a brain at all?

Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting
Agreed. It's not like he opened a strip club - it's a car wash.

Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting
Here is my point. He owns a car wash and some kind of bar called Playmakers in a crack infested part of town where the crime rate is very high. Why? I live near Washington DC. If I had a ton of $ like he did, I'm not opening up anything in Southeast Washington DC. Sorry but there is a good chance some bad shit is going to eventually go down and my name, whether I like it or not, is going to be dragged down in the mud.

There was one episode just a few years ago that does not lend credence to Harrison being the quiet unasuming professional. If memory serves me correctly, there was a story about him reacting violently to a group of teen-agers seeking his autograph. It was noted his character at that time was considered to be out of the ordinary for him as well. As someone previously stated, the details of this case are sketchy at best, but Harrison may still have some explaining to do. If it has been determined the gun that fired the shots came from a weapon belonging to him, he stated to police the gun never leaves his home but was found in a trash can at the car-wash he owns, something is amiss. |

Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting
In case anyone was wondering about the gun. I was thinking it was like some old WWII gun that was gold plated or somthing. Those are some pretty serious looking bullets for a pistol.

Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting
I honestly am not sure if this really is out of character for Harrison. Who here or really anywhere else outside of Harrison's immediate family and close friends is to say that that is out of character for Marvin? Just because he is quite and reserved in front of the camera doesen't mean he can't mess up.

Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting
In the media's effort to bash the Hiphop posturing of WR's and the showmanship and oneupmanship they have displayed over the last several years - to make sure the NFL keeps its distance from the more "urban" and less popular NBA - they have elevated Harrison to saint status just for being quiet; a dominant player who never made a fake cell phone call from the endzone. However, as Smoot pointed out, his character has been questionable even on the field, now we are seeing there may be issues off of it as well.
And I never understood why Harrison gets a free ride for disappearing in every playoff game ever. |
