Heyer is a guy who one day may turn into a decent starter, but he doesn't exactly have pro-bowl written all over him. We need depth anyway. Bring in a guy or two who can start at tackle and/or guard if need be, and use Heyer for spot-starts and depth.
Lol, yeah I guess you're right about 2013. However in the mean time Williams projects as a starting Guard. And if anything he has all the tools in terms of size and technique to be a good one. Not to mention he's super smart. Guy went to Vanderbilt for Gods sake. And obviously they don't make exceptions when it comes to football players as they've sucked for a long time. (Appologies to my cousin who is a scholarship athlete at Vandy).

The thing I like about Williams is his ability to become a very good guard as well as the fact that we would have an excellent insurance policy at our lines most important position.

Personally I like Heyer a lot and I like where he is in his development, the only thing that really concerns me about Heyer is his durability which obviously has been a HUGE problem for the team.
