Re: Thoughts on the bye week....

Everyone is talking about using the bye week for the O-Line to "gel", and to work on a pass rush. I think the entire team (minus coaches) had the week off, if I'm not mistaken. I don't think that they did anything but get their mind off football, rest, recover, and re-energize for a normal weeks practice beginning today.

Pretty much. Most of these guys go away from I what I hear. I think Portis went to his hometown to see his little brother play high school football.

He may have gone to his brothers game but the skins site said he was around getting treatment on his knee. I take the by week and forget about football as I golfed Saturday and went fishing on Sunday. I think the fish took the day off too.

glad you pointed this out. The players don't practice an extra week, but the coaches were working I'm sure.

I bet there was some serious discussion between Gibbs & AS over the 2 minute O. If anything can be gained in the bye week other than rest from injuries, it's the staff ironing out its clock mgmt. problems. This stuff goes back to 04. We got through it in the philly game, but it's not gonna happen that way every time.

In addition, I fear that Gibbs & AS are not on the same pg. Someone pointed this out in another thread, there seems to be a lack of identity on offense. Maybe it's just the injuries to the o-line & JC's maturation process & time will take care of it.
