Using a different perspective:
In 1986 the top 10 Passing leaders threw for a combined 37740 yards. In 2006, the top 10 passing Leaders threw for a combined 39026 yards. The difference being a total of 1286 yards or, 128.6 yards per QB per season or, 8.0375 yards per QB per game.
