What, our players aren't very good?! C.Griff, when his game is on is Pro Bowl caliber, same with Washington, same with Taylor. Hell I'd even throw a healthy Springs in there.

Sure GW can't rush the passer and tackle, I've conceded that point. But this defense has consistently given up big plays via the pass and the run without any major adjustments, no major personnel changes.

Explain to me how we bring in McCune one year and Rocky McIntosh the next and they are relegated to special teams? I think the only reason Golston was given the opportunity to play is becasue Joe S. was banged up off and on this year. It seems like the theme of the day at Redskins Park these days is just play it safe.

I refuse to believe we have bottom of the league talent on our defense. No way in hell...yeah, I know the stats say that, but I 'aint buying it.

I'm not suggesting that these players made GW. But I distinctly remember when AP was let go, a lot of us around here suggested that he was just a system player and we could replace him. Do a thread search, you'll find it.

In hindsight, AP isn't just a run of the mill system player, he actually is a very good, fundamentally sound linebacker that happen to be playing within a system that suited his skill set very well.

And yes, to date the coaches aint getting it done.

3-4 players does not make a defense. Stop being a fan for a minute and think about these questions. Is Andre Carter an everydown NFL DE. No. He got KILLED on the run over and over again. Bring him in on 3rd down only. If Daniels and Wynn were cut tomorrow would anyone pick them up as starters? No. Would Lemar Marshall start for any team within our division at MLB? No. He's playing out of position so I blame the coaches for that. Do we have anyone at FS that is an NFL player? No. Pierson P. maybe, that is if he can come back from his injury. Big question mark at FS. No need to even talk about Holdman. Then we have Taylor and Rogers. Two first rounders who have ability but don't play up to their potential. If you ask me, Rogers is not a very good corner. He got worse in his 2nd year. He plays like a little girl, 10 yards off the WR. Never wants to jack anybody up within 5 yards of the LOS. Is that coaching? Who knows. But he gets lost when the balls in the air so that's on him. And ST? I don't care what anybody says he played like crap this past year. Hopefully he can pick up his play and start to become a leader. We need him to become a leader.
