In this paragraph, you seem to be pointing out that it's the players that made GW successful, not the scheme. So if this is what you think, why are you in the "the coaches aren't getting it done" crowd?

Sanders helped Indy, no doubt, but everyone is acting like put the team on his shoulders like Ray Lewis did. Bob Sanders didn't bring Indy back against the Pats.
I think you are right here. Bob Sanders was not the difference in the Colts run D in the playoffs. Likewise, he wasn't the problem in the regular season. The problem is obviously in their front 7, a front 7 that was adjusted though personel changes and schematically though the course of the season.

Still, Bob Sanders is a pretty good safety in this league, and is certainly more technically sound then Sean Taylor. It's tough to directly compare safeties who play on different teams though, and I'm not going to say one is better than the other.

Like 12thMan and I have been saying, this coaching staff does not put our players in a position to be successful and its not just Sean who seems to be in need of "getting back to the fundamentals", it's the whole defense. After a defensive performance like last year we would be talking about firing the defensive coach because the players just weren't ready, but it's Gregg Williams who most have a hard time turning their back on because he brought our defense back into the ranks 2 years ago.
Ask yourself this "How is it that not one single player on defense had an OK year". I mean this time of year I'm usually debating the players on our team that were robbed of the Pro Bowl, but instead I'm trying to figure out how we had any. Not to take anything away from Sean or Samuels, but even bad teams have those players that everyone feels sorry for because they're being held back by a bad team. But every player on defense was equaly bad and have regressed from a year ago.
This just does'nt sit well with me.

Re: Taylor is in the Pro Bowl!!!

I think were all happy he there but to say he a real pro bowler i think not. Hopefully its a good experince for him. Maybe it will make him hungry to be there every year. But as a skins fans if were honest he doesnt deserve to be there this year. Maybe last year he should have been voted in. Roy Williams suck so bad he shouldnt go either. But he make more plays than taylor. He picks off alot more balls and is a good run stopper. He couldnt cover me.

Did you ever stop and think that some players are not very good? Sorry but the left side of our defense got violated over and over again. Our defense made Travis Henry look like Jim Brown. TB which had the worst running game in the NFL ran us over. Last time I checked GW can't go out and tackle people. GW can't go out and get off blocks can he? GW can't rush the passer. When you get ran on like we did trust me it's not the coaches. Too many people always want to blame the freakin coaches. Some people on this site need to realize that our players are not any good. Some of the guys on our defense are not starting NFL players.

Re: Taylor is in the Pro Bowl!!!

That hit shouldn't have happened because he doesn't belong there. Bob Sanders would have hit harder.

The funny thing was that I was dusting behind my TV and didn't see it live. I heard the hit and I heard the crowd reaction and I knew exactly who delivered the blow.
