16 is a long ways away, however we could see a plus one game implemented as soon as 2011 according to espn.com. Im all for playoffs but it seems as if the BCS is making steps towards implementing a playoff system and if you look at the history of college football altogether the BCS is making real progess in moving closer to a better system .

yeah I hear ya...but after BSU beat OU in the Fiesta bowl...and it wasn't a fluke they were kicking their ass even worse in the begining of the game and they let them back in it. I really think there should be a playoff....Boise state diserved a shot at the national title 2 outta 3 years an undefeated team did not get a shot at the title.

and we can't say that Boise doesn't belong in a BCS Bowl...experts said that and got politely silenced last week, face it guys they ultimatly got the hose. Then tonight in the "National Championship" if we can even call it that anymore lol Florida kicked Ohio's ass so bad fans were litteraly IN TEARS! Yeah Ohio needed to lose to make schools like Boise's case that there should be a playoff....tonights victory for the Gators puts an Exclamation point on it!
