Can anyone answer why this has not happened yet? Is he not liked by the coaching staff? I mean, we benched Brunell, why not leave Rocky out there and let him learn the ropes?

I know we have needs but jiminy christmas please don't spend draft picks to get them. Adalius Thomas is so verstile but he's looking for a huge contract and turns 30 next year. Whatever its irrelevant we shouldn't continue to suclkle the free agency teet it only builds false hope.

jared allen and the corner from the patriots would be a nice addition, i hope we draft that kicker from colorado in the later rounds he hit like a 65 yard fg a few weeks and ago and he is supposed to be the best kicking prospect in the last 10 years

Those are the two players that I wanted to get in FA, but we cant draft the kicker unless we trade picks, he'll prolly go in the 3rd, who knows, maybe even in the 2nd.

Isn't Jared Allen an RFA though? That would mean more draft picks. I'd rather go after a Justin Smith or Rod Coleman. They're older than Allen but all you have to do is pay them some money.

Rod Coleman would be a great pickup. Keep Vincent, Prieleau (SP?) Taylor, Fox, Springs, Rogers, FA corner. Draft a stud or sign a FA Middle LB. This defense would do a complete 180 next year. I looked at the cap sheet. They have a ton of space if they want it. |

Just a suspicion but i gotta believe Gibbs might consider bringing in a FA qb at the end of the season. This of course depends if JC shows some real promise. If anyone read the article from Boswell this morning Gibbs is obsessed w/ winning here. He'll do anything. I wouldn't be suprised if he takes over the playcalling again and tinkers w/ the defensive staff. He may even consider bringing in a GM. I just get the feeling if given the chance he might pull the trigger. We'll see. Let's hope JC continues to improve for the rest of the season.

Skins should look into a fa linebacker and either keep Dockery or grab a guard. Then, they need to DRAFT people. I think Briggs or Fletcher would be nice, but I doubt Briggs is gonna be available. I think the Bears might suck it up and pay him, but they might let him go just like they did with Colvin.

The word is the Bears won't be able to afford to keep Briggs. He would be a great pickup. I think we definitely need to go after a veteran playmaking LB. I'd go after Justin Smith too. He's a well rounded DE and a high character guy. |
