Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT ROUND 1

What a shock, we're having a great draft.

This new normal is so fucking hot.

Nice to have a draft where the Redskins don't reach. Conerly went in the area he was expected to go and Amos was good value.

Loved our CB pick. Wished it had been my boy Revel (ECU) and sad to see him go to the Cowboys.

Fuck Miami, but I wanted us to draft Sean Taylor.

Thomas is a very good football player.

Id have been 100 percent fine with Thomas there. Chris Thompson - forgot all about him! Hey I can forget all about their past once they put on the B & G.

Never should have been retired to begin with. Insanely stupid.

Also, people out there with these vast conspiracies why he hasn't been drafted yet and this is as simple as it gets. Teams simply don't think he's good enough for where they are picking. It's a weak ass QB draft. Only one QB in the top 24 picks and only 3 in the entire 1st and 2nd round. That tells you a LOT about the QB talent in a league starved for QB talent.

Wingo nailed it here.

Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT ROUND 1

So far 5 QBs drafted. Sanders could be drafted lower than Sam Howell; if he’s even drafted. Sam was the 5th qb taken but he was taken in 5th round.

Sanders will be 6th qb taken or worse but he could still be taken in 4th or in 5th, higher than where Sam went

Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT ROUND 1

Sanders is a great example of how the NFL operates. They don't care if he's got the best completion percentage in college football history or if he's Deion's Sanders son. He was a great college qb. That means NOTHING in the NFL.

NFL teams aren't going to take a guy that isn't all in and has red flags. His interviews played a role in his perception and in his drop, no doubt in my mind along with Deion potentially meddling. Him not going in the 1st 3 rds is arguably the greatest surprise I've ever seen in the draft.

This dude did a breakdown on Sanders back in January and seems he might have been onto something.

It really makes you wonder how all the top draft guys were so off on him. When has a kid every been projected top 10 and now not taken in the 1st 3 rds? Craziness. I was never too impressed with his film and thought it was odd that he didn't put up much for rushing yards. Cannot never remember a NFL draft case like this.

Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT ROUND 1

I love that our GM has prioritized building our O-line. Finally!
Thank God we have a GM that knows how to build a team.
Amos pick - need meets BPA. Great when that happens. Hope it continues to happen.
Rest of the draft we should try to get BPA and not worry so much about need. I would rather have quality depth than draft a player at a position of need, then we cut cause we reached for a turd.

Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT

I agree we have to go BPA as I doubt one of the best remaining Edge guys will be still available when we pick. Yes we can get lucky, like Amos at #61, but its not worth reaching if a prime LB, S, WR or RB is there.

I wonder AP they'll revisit a trade (Hendrickson?) if they don't find a top guy in the draft?

Still a handful of edge guys that I would be ecstatic to get this late. Also WR’s. Ayomanor from Stanford in particular.

I don't think we have the assets, as in draft capital, for Hendrickson or Watts at this point. Take Jack Sawyer. Hoping he's available when we pick.
