I totally disagree with this post. They lack explosive plays and it's clear they want to upgrade from B Rob who simply does not supply that. One long TD run by Swift totally changed the Chicago game, they need a player who can turn around a game with one play. The rest are fine but this offense needs a real weapon that defenses need to account for.

I agree

Brob was a let down last half of the year, left yards on the field. He just doesn’t have the vision and he’s never had the speed.

With the threat of JD5 legs in the backfield…defenses have to key or at least dedicate a guy to that run responsibly on every play. There is a massive opportunity for a talented ball carrier alongside Number 5. There are big plays and yards available, we need an RB who can take advantage.

We need a defensive playmaker desperately in this draft preferably 2. Look at all the studs Philly had last year with Sweat, Jalen Carter, Baun etc. This is far more of a need than a rb.

Our offense ranked 7th in the league last year and averaged nearly at the top for rushing yards/game.

Commanders were middle of the pack on defense while the SB Eagles were 1.

This

The addition of Tunsil alone makes this offense better, and if Deebo regains his passion he will be that other explosive player.

Even the point about Swift's run highlights why defensive playmakers are more important to taking this team to the next level. I expect the best Sa#ety or CB to be our first pick (hopefully after a trade down) and EDGE at 61.

Robinson averaged 4.3 yards a carry last year and put up 800 yards. Ekeler is already explosive and averaged nearly 5 yards a a carry last year and is a beast on returns. Rodriguez Jr. also averaged nearly 5 yds a carry last year and is tough and physical. McNichols also averaged nearly 5 yds a carry last year. We don't need Saquon Barkley to win a SB and we aren't getting Ashton Jeanty.

These numbers above are fine especially when you have qb who is a star running for nearly 900 yds last year himself.

Where are you seeing they want to upgrade from Robinson?

For me, RB is not P1, maybe not P2, but we need more speed out of the backfield. I like BRob but he's a ground and pound back, not a breakaway threat. Look at how dangerous the Eagles are with a triple threat O; Great RB, good running QB and good receivers. Imagine we had Barkley...

But I say Edge should be #1 pick tonight, if one of the top 5 remains when we pick. We need a game changer in the pass rush more than anything else on D. I can live with a top CB, RB or WR prospect if they don't like the remaining Edge candidates there, but please address Edge with a good early pick.

I am good with getting a gamebreaker back as long as oline and defense are appropriately addressed. Tutten below could be a guy:

4.32 40 sounds great to me.

Not really telling the whole story here. BRob is slow, Brob is limited with vision and is a plodder at the los. He has a place on the team, not a 3 down back. He had a great game vs Detroit in the playoffs. Other 2 games he was ineffective.

You add better talent in the backfield, it’s gonna benefit JD5 and open up our offense even more. He doesn’t even need to be a 3 down back. Eckler missed a lot of time last year, thinking ahead to grab a replacement that could replace mcpickles/Eck should be top of mind.

I think Peters very well could big game hunt at the draft grabbing WR/RB and even late round TE. TE is really deep this year

As I mentioned in the post prior to yours, I am good with getting a new back ONLY if we get the defensive playmaker(s) and oline is upgraded also. These are bigger NEEDS.

The other 2 games you're referencing for Robinson included Tampa and Philly. Both had 2 of the best rush defenses in the league last year. Upgrade the oline watch our current backs go off even more. YPC is extremely relevant to a team's success and ours was very good last year.
