Punch, this is cool and all, this year, but we wont win every year. Identity holds fan bases togethers through decades, through good times and bad. Commanders is a bit like New Coke to me, it is fake, it was not wanted, not requested, not supported, call us New Skins! I wish this post was a full page ad to Josh Harris, the ownership Group, coaches and players. Also a true petition drive (not the online type but of the fans at the stadium, bars, and where Washington gear is sold). You capture the essence of the problem and why the current "solution" is so unsatisfactory.

A giant W for Washington just like a giant C is for chicago or a giant D for Denver or LA for Los Angeles, or G for Green Bay, or SF for San Francisco……
Commanders is the same as generals it means we are the ones in charge. It is a nod to the military and has much more to do with DC than puppies or frogs

All I am saying is it isn’t like we are re-named the cock smokers and a giant eggplant is on our helmet and no Commanders with a W for Washington DC is not the same thing.

You want history? Let’s get the stadium back in DC, where that W means something. Im sure they can pay homage somehow to our past in the uniforms too. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that W though.
