The running game,or lack there of, is very concerning,it’s been mostly just JD’s running ability that’s accounted for most of the rushing yards since week 13 against Tennessee(except against Dallas where MM had most of the rushing yards) The offensive line is getting no push in the running game.
JD did not look comfortable in the Dallas game, in the Atlanta game he played footloose and fancy free, did not look the same against Dallas, why that is I don’t know.
For us to have a chance against Tampa, he’s gonna have to play like Lamar Jackson and takeoff running because the offensive line isn’t opening up any holes

I think the issue with the run game is a combination of injuries. Our top OL combo with a fit JD, BRob and Ekeler is a different beast when there are 2 or more of those bodies injured. Missing Ekeler's change of pace and passing game fit, JD being sore and notably Biadasz being out, all coming together at the same time have highlighted what a few have said and what we've known for a while; Beyond our starters (and arguably only 4 of them), our OL is poor, we lack an RB with burst to overcome poor blocking and when JD isn't 100% we lack alternatives. We know we need to address our holes in the offseason, but hopefully with Ekeler back, JD healed and the OL in better shape, we can at least overcome Tampa.
